8 Blog Problems/Confusions that Every Blogger Faces

Most of the People think that blogging is a really easy business and everyone can have a successful blog and make money from home Funny to you? It is to me . Why they think so is because they don’t have any idea how many blog problems every blogger has to face before becoming what we call a “Pro Blogger”. There are different kinds of hurdles and problems in this business. Some are limited to beginners and some to experts only. But to your surprise, there are some blog problems or you may say blogging confusion that every blogger faces regardless of his blogging experience and the stage where his blog is.

If not facing at this time then must have faced in past at sometime. There are many times where bloggers have to choose one thing and let the rest go. We can call it choosing the right path for them.

I am about to reveal such things and conditions where you need to make a decision and pick the right thing, it is time now to move down to the list and explore the solutions.

1. WordPress or Blogger:
Everyone who realizes that blogging is beneficial and decides to step into this business explores the ways to start his first ever blog and ends up knowing that there are more than one platform to get started with.

Same thing happened with me and with most of you too. After being sure about the fact, that Blogger and WordPress and two top places to go, the question is what to choose. Hence, let’s analyze the benefits and drawbacks of both these platforms right here right now at the good place called TB.

Pros and Cons of WordPress:
List of WordPress pros can go long and long but let’s keep it short and sweet. For saving you from trouble because at last, you are the one for who I am doing this all.

1. Plugins for doing everything.
2. Better options to design.
3. Much better SEO.
4. Easy to Manage.
5. Ready to go.
6. Control at everything.
7. Better controlling of users.
8. Make it as big as you want.
9. Take it to any direction e.g. Articles Directory, Blogs Directory, E-commerce etc.

The only drawback that I see of using WordPress as compared to Blogger is:
1. You have to pay for hosting.

Pros and Cons of Blogger:
Let’s have a look at the benefits of Blogger platform.

1. Free Hosting that never goes down (almost).
2. No Need to buy domain name.
3. Too much easy to use.
4. Best for Beginners.

Sadly, it has bunch more drawbacks.

1.  Limited design options.
2. You have to play with codes for doing everything.
3. Not full control and Google can shut you up at any moment.
4. Though, owned by Google, not that good at SEO as WordPress.
5. When trying to sell, less people are attracted after knowing it is hosted at Blogger.
6. I think after reading it all, it is crystal clear that WordPress wins this fight. Hence, go with WordPress.

Result: WordPress

2. Pay-per-click or Affiliate Marketing:
This one depends on your current conditions. If your blog is established already and gets decent traffic, then I suggest you not to waste your time and chance of making much more by going with PPC.

Are you stunned? You have the right to because no one talks this way. I suggest you to go with Affiliate Marketing. This is Because any blog with good traffic can do a lot of sales and make you immediate money instead of counting 1,2,3 and so on in PPC.

But in case you are at beginning level or get low visits, PPC is better. The reason why I’m saying that is by Affiliate marketing, you may not even make a sale in months and months and your earring stays zero. But with PPC, you can make few bucks if not many.

Result: Depends

3. Alexa or Google Page Rank:
Alexa ranking has gained importance in past few years while Google PR has been important from years. As for now, you cannot neglect the benefits of having a better Alexa ranking just like you cannot ignore Google page rank.

If you have a good one then more people are willing to guest post and advertise on your blog and if someday you decide to sell it, you get decent money.

Sure more advertiser and guest bloggers can be attracted with better Alexa ranking, but they would go as quickly as they arrived after they realize that your Google Page rank is low.

Yep its right. Hence, you need to focus on both these things and keep a balance if possible.

Result: Both Alexa rank and Google PR are Important.

4. Content Quality or Quantity:
We are not living in 2000s where Google cares more about quantity and less by quality. Its 2013 and Google and other search engines are extremely strict about content quality. Surprised? You should not be .

And, another important thing is that there is not just one blog or website to give you tips and information on a particular topic. Thousands and thousands of blogs are out there that are producing content on regular basis.

So what do you think is more important? Content quality or quantity?

Oh come on. I know you have guessed already.

Result: Content Quality

5. Backlinks Quality or Quantity:
Just like you and most of other bloggers, I don’t just believe on theories. Someone may tell you that more backlinks you have the better regardless of quality.

Then You are going to believe and follow him? Huh. No chance. Wait, explore around and see what’s going on around man instead of believing in just one person. I won’t say it was a case study, but hell yeah it was a deep searching and analyzing.

And, I have come to the point that no matter how many bad quality backlinks you may have, they cannot compete high quality backlinks considering the way Google ranking algorithm works.

I’m pretty sure that your guess is right once again while moving down to result.

6. Niche Blogging or Free Style Blogging:
Well Well Well, there have been a lot of talk around considering this thing and everyone tries to put their thoughts on minds of other bloggers. What do you think can be done easily? Becoming a professor of Chemistry or entire Science including Biology, Mathematics and blah blah blah?

Your answer is right one more time. Its easy to gain expertise in closer topic instead of everything and you should be clever enough to realize that. Everyone tries to be clever, but I was clever enough to cover that topic in single post and show the world the pros and cons of niche blogging which can surely reveal the pros and cons of free style blogging too.

Result: Niche Blogging

7. Search Engines or Social Media:
Some dudes think it’s a really stupid question and you might be thinking the same considering the way everyone just blindly follows the search engines. If that’s how you are thinking my friend, kindly take a few moments and have a look at some strong reasons why social media is better than search engines. And, my point will be totally understandable.

But don’t take me as a stupid who has no idea about the power of search engines or a person who is blowing fire because he was hit by Google updates or so. I totally understand its importance and that is the reason I’m suggesting you to focus on search engines too and keep a balance.

Don’t just put all of your eggs in one basket. Keep more than one tracks opened for you all the times.
Result: Both search engines and social media is must.

8. Sub Domains or Top level Domain:
This question seems exactly like the one above, but hear me out for a moment. I am not talking about free sub domains like example.blogspot.com, etc. I’m talking about the personal sub domains like example.yourdamain.com.

But this may look weird to many too. Let me clear it to you. Sub domains have their own benefits while TLD’s stand on the other side with their bright advantages. Then, what to choose? Hmmmm…Hard to decide or not?

Ok here is the answer. It depends on you totally. If you are an organization that wants to make a name and build a strong readership and respect in online community by similar, but different blogs, then Sub domains are your way to go.

But if you have the idea to start blogs that will have totally different points to focus, then Top Lever Domains are highly recommended by me. You can still do whatever you think is good like always. You have the rights.
